Lower leg muscles soreness

Case Study

John works as a tiler and plays football twice a week. He came in complaining of tibialis anterior pain and swelling on the right leg. The pain runs from the knee to the ankle in front of the leg just lateral to the tibia (sheen bone). It’s quite tight and painful a number 9 on a scale of 0 to 10. The patient cannot flex his foot. Soreness.

What have we done?
The patient was surprised when I started to treat his opposite leg, the left one.
He tried to remind me which leg is injured. I explained that acupuncture channels often connect and balance each other using criss-cross or contralateral connections just like the right side of the brain has a contralateral control mechanism – the right brain controls the left side.
Then I applied needles and showed them the results in a few seconds.
The patient experienced pain relief of about 5 on a scale of 0-10.
We left the needles in for 30 minutes.
Pain relief showed to be successful. The patient received a massage. Came back for follow-up treatments 2 times. Afterward, he called us that he was well.
